    Jeff,
Thank you for the advice. I tried your suggestions. Still got some noise issues. I denoised the footage, exported it Prores4444 (and 422HQ), then color graded it. When exported a copy (H264 and prores422), it still had some artifacts that I mentioned in my post. It looks like the premier pro has bugs. I had to buy the neat video to get the work done. So far it has done a great job. Just a couple of shots showed an artifact. Still working it.

Let me ask you a question. What are the best settings to export a 4K DCP that is under 10GB? The festivals ask for the maximum 10GB file.

Thank you John. I do not have Davinci. I had to buy neat video to get the work done. Magic Bullet denoiser and premier pro do not go together. They make one go through hell. Even their experts couldn’t help.

I have the still images copied in my computer’s hard drive. All the audio and video files of the project I am working on are stored in the internal hard drive of my computer as well. I open the project, click on the event library, then import file, there I choose the stills (jepg, jpg, tiff, pdf, png) from the folder stored in the internal hard drive. In the import window, this time, I check marked copy the event library and make a smart collection options. The stills get imported, but they all show in red thumbnail with the triangle and exclamation mark and a rectangle paper shape on them.

Also, I’ve been trying to figure out how to change the sittings for exporting audio as stereo. Some of the clips in the timeline are mono and some stereo. When I export the video/ audio, in the summary tab, it shows surround sound 5.1 as my output. And in the final exported audio/video mono tracks stay mono and stereo tracks stay stereo. I appreciate your help.

I am sorry for asking too many questions.

I tried different format still images (jepg, tiff, png, pdf, jpg). Nothing worked. I import the pictures without check marking any of the options in import window.

  • Thank you Dave. I have one more question regarding FCP, but this time FCP X. I have FCP 7 installed in my macbook pro. I want to install and edit a project with FCP X. I’d like to have FCP7 in my computer and use it whenever needed. I was wondering if both FCPs (7 and X) may conflict if they are installed in the same machine.

    Any hint is appreciated.

    Best,

  • Thank you very much. Problem solved.

  • Worked great. Thank you very much.

  • what codec would be good instead of H.264?

I am using Roll option in Title Tool. It is for end credit that moves rolling up. The hints you sent me works with Rolling title?
