    John,

Sorry for the late reply. But thanks for the advice. Before you replied I downloaded Still Motion and it worked fine for what I needed at the time. I’ll check out Ultimate S too.

    Thanks

    John,

I know this is an old post. But I did a search for slide show help. Is the VASST option still the best? Will it let me chose random transitions?

    John,

Would you use the same for uploading to Facebook and other social media sites? Or how bout for a 1 minute or so video you’d like to email someone?

    Thanks, Mac

    John,

I recently purchased the same hard disk unit to use with my FX1. But I still have to use a tape to get it to work.

Do you know of any work around on this. I know this hard disk was made to work with specific Sony cameras. The FX1 is not one of them.

Having to use a tape does provide a back up but it seems a waste.

    Nigel,

Thanks for responding. I just saw your post.

To tell you the truth, I’m not sure what version I’m running. How can I tell?

While capturing I see the issue, but just playing back on the camera it does fine. Although, I bought the camera used and it probably wouldn’t hurt to get it serviced.

Yes, I down converted from HDV to DV via the camera. Again, that footage plays back fine and seems to edit fine.

I’ve since purchased an HVR-DR60 tapeless capture to use with this camera but haven’t taken it out of the box yet. My next major shoot I will use it for sure.

If I ever plan on making a BluRay DVD I need to correct this issue.

    My specs: I7-930, 8MB LzCache 2.8 GHZ memory, 9GB Trichannel DDR3 SDRAM@1333 MHZ – 6DIMMS, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB, HD = 1.5TB – 7200 RPM SATA 3.0GB 1.56 MB cache

Steve, I restarted my PC, recaptured, and still have the same problem. It plays back on tape in my camera fine. I see the problem as I’m capturing. Lag, audio drop, etc. But when I down convert from my camera and capture it plays fine.

When playing back in SD it’s fine, in HDV I see the problem. I’ll restart my PC tonite and see what happens.
