I just found out he actually wants them converted to Quicktime format.

Actually my client recorded with us and he recorded on regular DV tape using a Sony HD1000. I also used my FX1.

Duh, I never thought about just giving him the raw files on Blu-ray or other media type. I was focused on him capturing from his camera and didn’t think otherwise.

    Thanks for your help.

Thanks for this post! I am getting very close to shooting a similar set up. AVCHD and HDV. How does the NeoScene work? Are the files converted in NeoScene, then pulled into the Vegas timeline for editing?

What problem will I see if using an ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB video card instead of the Nvidia?

Also, I have only 9GB of RAM as opposed to 12. What problem will this present?

If I may ask one more question before this thread dies. Do you use the Sony HD tapes to shoot in HD or can you use the regular tapes to record the HD images?

Thanks, got it to work. I appreciate it.

I couldn’t get the clip to extend. It just moved the existing 30 second clip and wouldn’t show the remainder of the clip. I’ll try again later when I get home and let you know.
    Thanks again.

Thanks, I actually tried that last nite but I got the little square box icon that popped up where my cursor was at and all it would do is drag the entire clip in the timeline. Do you put the cursor at the bottom of the clip? I’m not at my home PC or I’d try it again now.

  • I hope the ATI card works. I just bought this exact same PC but haven’t loaded V10 on it yet and done any editing.
