Well, thank you Zane for taking your time for telling me that I’m on the wrong forum. I guess you could have helped me to answer my question or go about your business and let someone else do it. If someone else needs help, I’ll help him, no matter if the question is in the wrong forum. By the way, for those who have the same problem, in whatever forum, I myself solved the problem. I formatted the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system and all the programs I work with, gaining about 45 Gigs.

I´ve looked into your question. Let me say first that that slide show is beautiful and elaborated. It is not made with the click of a button. If you want something similar, you have to give it some time. Mainly it consists of very subtle movements, fades, fades to white, white flashes and faded titles flying around the pictures. Of course the music is great too. To do that or something similar place the same picture on several layers and move them at different speeds fading each one at the right moment. The zoom you talk about is made of a quick succesion fades of the same moving out picture. Hope it helps.

If you want to preview your full comp, lower the quality to half or quarter resolution, lower the frame rate to less that 30 FPS, maybe 15, and allow to drop some frames. Try different setting until you can see the full preview. Hope it helps.

If you are in Premiere Pro CS3 and want to do a DVD without menus, try this. 1)Make sure you have enough disk space. 2)Edit project in Premiere. 3)Once done, select File>Export>Export to Encore. 4)In the Export to Encore window select the option Without Menus and Encoding to NTSC Low Quality (4Mbps Constant Bit Rate, which is a fairly good quality and will allow you to fit your 1 hour 43 minutes project with PCM audio). You do can import video and audio files as long as they are Premiere compatible. Do you know the type of files you are importing? Where did you get the files from? a DVD? a CD? the WEB? a tape? Right click on one of the files, select properties and see what kind of file is it. If the files come from a DVD or CD try recording them on tape and then capture them with Premiere. You can convert it to avi using MPEG_Streamclip 1.1, which you can download for free at https://www.squared5.com. I have never used this program, though, so I can’t tell you if it’s any good. I don’t understand what is your problem. But, what you should do is: (1) Capture your video (including audio) to hard disk using Premiere, be sure to define settings according to your needs (2) Import video to project window, (3) In project window, click poster frame, then click on play button and watch video (and listen audio), (4) if you want to watch in source window, then drag poster frame from project window and drop it in the source window, there you can crop it and then drag it to the time line, (5) Select time line then click play button in program window and watch video in program window.
