I think you’re trying to make it more complex than it is…take the same picture and do one move on it…render it. Make another comp in AE and do a different move on it…render that. Put the two clips on the timeline in PPro and dissolve.

…PPro can do this on the timeline as well if you simply load the picture, but if you really have a large amount of still images, it can be time consuming.

There used to be a program called “Imaginate” by Canopus. If you can find someone who still has a copy laying around….user or dealer…it’s faster with still manipulation than anything I’ve ever seen…even to-date.

Also, how do I get the white flash at the beginning or end of a pic?

Same pic in the background would require you to either render out of AE with an Alpha channel (millions of colors+) or just make the foreground pic smaller on the PPro timeline.

Again…this is nicely executed, but exceedingly basic stuff…the white flash would involve a right click in the project window and select “new item>color matte”…make it white…put it on the timeline and fade it in and out.

Hi Richard:
I´ve looked into your question. Let me say first that that slide show is beautiful and elaborated. It is not made with the click of a button. If you want something similar, you have to give it some time. Mainly it consists of very subtle movements, fades, fades to white, white flashes and faded titles flying around the pictures. Of course the music is great too. To do that or something similar place the same picture on several layers and move them at different speeds fading each one at the right moment. The zoom you talk about is made of a quick succesion fades of the same moving out picture. Hope it helps.
