I use Wistia which is excellent. https://wistia.com/

    Best bits for me are

    – Project organisation (top level project name – make your own subsections – all flexible)

    – multiple client login with tracking of sessions (did they watch it? All of it? .. etc)

    – url links to access videos for clients who can’t handle login/password (!)

    – Commenting made easy (auto adds the timecode where they want to make a comment “remove this shot” etc)

    – Viewable online or downloadable

    It’s a pay-for service, but has a free trial.
Otherwise Vimeo gets the free thumbs up.

    Cheers

This just happened to me too (FCP 6.0.2 / os x 10.4). The generator only made black and the edit to tape offered the tone and no picture.

I rebooted and it fixed itself!

    Strange.

I could use some tips for Compressor settings too, if anyone can share.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Stuart.

Results weren’t great with Adobe Media encoder alone, so I created a compressor setting – same XDCAM compression/size etc of my sequence, but with the following settings. Took some testing but this works for me, fairly quickly, before I take the files to adobe media encoder:

    Video
    – Compression XDCAM EX 1080i50 @35Mb
    – Key frames – auto
    – No frame reordering
    – Auto data rate

    Frame Controls on
    – Output fields Progressive
    – Deinterlace – Better (motion adaptive)

    Cheers!

Adobe media encoder Version CS4 4.0.0.374

In which tab/area could I find it?

    thanks

For others: I was having the “cueing tape” problem too, but fixed it on my sony HDV deck by switching the i.Link Conv option to off in the deck menu.

    doh.
