No Color Bars with Print to Video
I’m having a glitch with my Print to Video command.
I have the Color Bars option checked in the Print to Video dialog box; however, when it plays back, no color bars! I do get the tone and the timeline to play back, so it seems something subtler is amiss.
Of course, I will do a workaround for right now and put color bars and tone in my timeline, but it would be nice to have the correct workflow.
Any suggestions? Much appreciation and thanks!

Okay, the problem is with my color bar generator.
When I pull up a color bar generator in the Viewer, also no color bars.

Guessing the files are missing or a link to them is corrupted, try putting a fake bars signal in the folder with your logo on it or something to set it apart from normal bars, then try to select that and see if it appears.

This just happened to me too (FCP 6.0.2 / os x 10.4). The generator only made black and the edit to tape offered the tone and no picture.
I rebooted and it fixed itself!
Strange.
