  • Hi Bernhard,

    Thanks for replying to me.

I’m really new to this so I wonder if you could break it down a bit more?

The files come out of the camera as .mts files. Should I use AME first to directly convert all of them to 1080p before putting them in the 1080p/25 timeline? as an mp4 or .mov file?

Would the deinterlacing then happen there in the file conversion?

When you say use AME to encode to progressive DVD what export settings should I use to do that?

Also the files are MASSIVE – 50mb for a 15 second clip. What do I do about this?

With the files for internet I’ve been exporting my files as H.264 format.
I’ve been using the preset HDTV 1080p 25 high quality. But do I need to resize the pixel dimensions for web?

    Any help very gratefully received!

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks a lot for helping me out.

I will actually need to do 3 things with the footage.

Firstly I will need to export them as a small size to use on a website.

Secondly I will need to make a dvd to use with a projector at a showing.

Thirdly i will want files to playback with my computer and projector.

    Is this enough information?

    Hi Chris,

    Thanks for your reply!

The problem is I don’t know which export settings to choose when i get to the export window. Would one of the formats/codecs be better than the others if i wanted to preserve top quality in the files for public showing?
