    Hi Everyone,

I have a clip I need to fix which I could do with advice on.

Is there a way to selectively lighten part of a moving object?

What makes it more difficult is that the object I want to lighten is shot against a light black background which I need to make pure black.

I have done this by increasing the contrast of the clip. But this has had the result of darkening the object too much in places.

I have tried playing around with the colour settings in Premiere and I have tried painstakingly masking out the background in After Effects but nothing has really worked satisfactorily.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Many thanks!
