I’ve never tried 32 gig cards in the camera. I thought the most they recommended was 16 gb cards, although I could be wrong.

Apply TC reader filter that is located in EFFECTS Bin. Make DVD or VHS dub.

    PS
Make SURE you get the TC READER and NOT TC Generator!

Record running timecode (time of day) and when you edit turn on the timecode window in FCP.

We use Transcend cards and we buy them from Amazon. I don’t often shoot at 720, but at 1080 we can get about 1/2 hour on a 8gb and almost an hour on a 16gb card. The nice thing about these cameras is that it switches automatically from one card to another when the first card is full. It is seamless, so you don’t lose anything. Also, while the camera is recording on one card, you can eject the other if it is full and replace it without a problem. In this way, you could feasibly record till your batteries die or you run out of media.

I agree. I have both the 700 and 100 cameras and they work very well together. Plus, the media for the JVC’s is SOOO much cheaper than for the Sonys. And for what you’re shooting, you can record up to two hours continuously at the highest resolution.

  • Did you set the camera to 720p60 record mode?

Yep, you’re right. One of my videographers set the “user 2” button for black stretch.

Actually, noticed the same thing on ONE of my cameras today. I’ll check the other and see if it’s doing it too.

  • That’s crazy! What brand of SDHC cards are you using? Also, are you SURE you can use a 32GB card in the camera at all? The largest we’ve used is a 16GB card and we’ve never had any issues.
