yes I am importing 1440 x 1080 targas into an HD timeline.
I went into Project settings & prefrences, but didn’t see it

Also, my timeline is set to 23.976, so why would it assume that it’s 29?

Forgive me if you posted the info:

Are you sure your “timeline” and your “footage” are set correctly?
Also, if you advance frame by frame, are there any “still” frames or “ghosting”, or cross-disolve frames? These are tell tale signs that timelines and/or interpretations are incorrect.

I don’t think that NUKE, outputs to M2v
So to output to tga…to m2v…to dvd is a little much
I guess I’ll stick to tga into QT player or DJV player

Hi,
Could you explain alittle bit more?
I thought H 264 was a codec for web?
1. I need the BEST quality going to disk.
2. I needed that “ghosting” to go away

UPDATE:
I just eliminated the ghosting by selecting 23.976 from the drop down & 3:2 pulldown. Now the render is EXACTLY as my timeline

However, when burned to disk, doesn’t it get padded to 29 frames?
So isn’t the ghosting going to come back to disk?

That did it.
For some reason, I always thought that “Render entire work area” meant… render from beginging to end, NOT, force it to render. I learned something new, Thanks
Also, I just learned something else,
When I imported the sequence files, premiere by default, is set to read them at 29.976. If I drop the sequence on the timeline, I get a red line and premiere renders it as usual, However, if I change the 29.976 via Interpret,footage, to 23.976, I then get that Yellow line and that is why it wouldn’t render it.
I don’t know why it does that, but Render entire work area, fixes it,

Hi Jeremey,

Thanks for the advice,
I thought the sun was more up & left. You can’t see it in the picture but at the 1st frame, you see sun on the left side of the tree.I will play around with sun positions today.
As for the grain, I matched it pretty good however, I am having a little trouble with tracking. Although I have a spot on track with mocha, I have a little drift on a few frames. Almost as if its lacking motion blur.When I correct this issue, I will post the motion clip.
As for the aging drips, Yes I want to do that as well.

I will get started on those corrections and then post another version. It helps so much to have more eyes than just mine. Thanks so much.
As for the Type letters, I am the worse person to design a sign but I got stuck doing it as well. (LOL) I will tweak that as well.

Thanks guys for all your input.
The one thing I don’t understand is, If the shutter phase causes the image to “shift” in time, how come when I try to re align the image back to it’s original spot, it still drifts all over?

Well, like I said, “it’s like the tracking is off by 1 frame”
I didn’t say it was off by 1 frame. That quick fix I would have done.
I think it must have to do with the shutter. Anyway, I think I found the solution, you were close, I had to Precomp the tracking layer and then motion blur the precomp.
