Also in my case, I need to do some roto work around the face area which would be better suited for Mocha or AE and I understand that Resolve isn’t a roto software.
However, I still can’t imagine that I am the only one that ran into this problem. I’ve been on all the forums and it seems like people are looking at me as if I was asking for a ridiculous function.

All they need is an “Obey key “function. (like Mocha) which allows points to be offset.
UNLESS,…I am not using the nodes in a more intuitive way and there is a clever work around?

It’s very frustrating.

I feel like this is the most commonly used feature and yet I can’t find a single person that can explain this problem.

I can’t imagine that Davinci wants you to FIRST set your softness…THEN do any key framing.

And god help you if you need to make any adjustments to the feather when you have 30 key frames on the timeline.

I ‘ve search the entire internet and forums for help and I am stuck on stupid.

Does anyone have a solution for adjusting softness when the timeline is full of keyframes?

Hi,
Thanks for the video link. pretty cool. However, if I undestood him, he imported an EDL to Premiere. Once in premiere, he then had the use of AE.

This is where I get conflicted. Because on one hand,to have the ability to copy & paste Edits in AE WITHOUT any renders, is PRICELESS. but then on the other hand, the “STANDARD” in the bussiness is avid or FCP. I kind of feel like i’m using a system that will never be excepted by the pros.

Oh, ok so I’m “assuming’ that the clips on the AE timeline are the native avid files? Or are they re-rendered in Autoduck?

FCP…worked it’s way into that market. Got a decent foothold too, until FCX came out. Avid has that sewn up tight.

So are you saying that FCX is Amazing…or Horrible?
According to Apple, Avid is declining rapidly in the market and FCP is increasing rapidly.
If I am going to switch my editorial system this year, I want it to be a system that is “in Demand” or “Rock solid” in the future market place.

Can you give your opinion on FCX a little more?

Thank you for that helpful INFO.
Since I work alone, and do very small projects. I haven’t needed much demand in the software. I guess I was judging the softwares on common editorial tasks. Not looking at the bigger picture.

Ok I will try that. I also discovered that Vegas pro 10 allows you to print to tape to an HDV dv tape. So I rendered out a master HDV copy into Vegas, then print to tape. It added the pulldown automatically when it goes to tape. It worked like a charm.
