    Hi,

Vegas can’t render to WEBM, but you can have ffmpeg for free, which can convert almost anything to anything including webm.
In this thread you can read:
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/1014120

I also created a GUI frontend for ffmpeg especially for the task to convert mp4 to webm, and encode audio to vorbis.
If you scroll down the thread, you’ll find the link for the program, as well as the source.
You’ll also need the ffmpeg itself of course.
Or someone also posted a link to another standalone program, which has numerous convert options.

  • Mark is right, it’s a BUS track. But on the picture I see the audio BUS track.
Simply press “B” and it will hide – or show up if it’s hidden.
Ctrl-Shift-B toggles the Video BUS track, mentioned by Mark.

  • There’s a setting in Vegas “allow legacy GPU rendering” on the general tab. If you check this, it makes GPU option visible on the render settings page.
When you render to Mainconcept AVC (do you?) set “encode mode” (this is at the bottom of the template customizing page) to “CPU only”.
This is the second place where you can disable GPU -it is enabled by default.

  • Every file format has its own plugin, this was always the case as long as I can remember.
I don’t know the reason why the mp3 plugin has to be activated separately now? -That question has to be answered by MAGIX.

  • I think you see the activation window.
I just guess, that the mp3 plugin tries to activate itself, but can’t connect to a Magix server.

    Hi,

I know I’m repeating myself, but my only idea is to take Vegasaur in such a case.
You can achieve what you want using Vegasaurs “strobe light effect”.
Set Duration, pause duration to exactly 1 frame, fade duration to zero.
That creates a composite level envelope for you on the selected track over the selected time range.

  • Hi,

To me that looks technically OK. I don’t see those glitches 😉

May 2, 2017 at 5:56 pm in reply to: Size of mp4 for 60 minute video? (720p)

Also be careful with filesize limits. A new pendrive is most probably factory formatted to fat32, which can’t hold files bigger than 4GB, even if the drive itself is 16 or 32 GB…
You can of course format to exfat, which does not have this limit.
    Just be aware.
20Mbps for 60 minutes will result approximately 9GB (plus the audio!), so for that you’ll need 16GB drives, or lower bitrate to 14Mbps, so a 8GB drive seems to be enough (and almost full).
For 720p 14Mbps is still qutie good, I think.

  • There’s a hint somwhere about bitrate for youtube, now I don’t get it.
It told something about minimum 10Mbps for 25(30)p fullHD.
50(60)p would require the double? Youtube may think a 60p video with a lower bitrate would mean lower quality, thus won’t allow higher resolution. (This just my guess…)
    In this thread
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/24/1015129#1015182
you can find my render settings I use for youtube, it’s for 25p.
If you need 60p, create a preset for it (with an according bitrate).
    I’d try 25..30Mbps AVC for 60p.
