Thank you.

This works great. The only problem that I’m having is that the objects are lining
up (position in this case). How do I have one follow the other without landing on top
of the object that is being followed, so that it keeps it’s position but is a few steps behind
in time?

That’s great!! Is there a way to animate them all through one layer,
or do I have to apply this expression to each layer?

I solved this problem by using the correct codec (the one I used was for a later system) and doublechecking that my output module was correct on each level.

mac, rendered with the card, thought you had to render using black magic codec, AE version 8.0.2., manual regarding AE is one page, READ MANUAL!!

Ok, more information. I’m creating a presentation in After Effects that’s going to play on a flatscreen (16×9) tv, but also needs to play on a computer, and I’m trying to figure out the best composition settings to accomodate both. In the case of the tv, it will play on a dvd. In terms of the computer, it could play on a dvd as well or a file that will play in real time at the best quality possible.

I went to art school many years ago, before the computer age and I do know how to draw but thanks anyway.
