Thank you for the information… I don’t see it listed on the CD Arch specs..but is that a software that would automatically adjust the volumne? Sometimes I get kids yelling into the microphone and I am adjusting it automatically.

Thanks I am aware of the legality of it.. I was just wondering what are people doing to make it look decent. I was thinking about putting all the slow songs together as one montage and fast as a different montage and use royalty free music as the background. I didn’t know how that would look with people doing the chicken dance, the hokey pokey etc.
Any ideas? What are others doing?

Thanks…it is to DVD so I will render to MPEG 2..I just didn’t know if it was better to render to Blu Ray and burn as SD (I didn’t even know if that is possible either)

FOUND THE PROBLEM!
I found on another forum to check the motherboard fire wire brand. Apparently, Texas Instruments & other brands have problems with Vegas. I bought another fire wire port online for $25 installed and perfect. It works. I now get the preview window.
What is weird is the brand of fire wire I bought after market is also Texas Instruments (I didn’t know that when I bought it) and the after market works fine. So it must have something to do with the factory one.

That is exacatly what I was doing (transferring a VHS) but what is weird is it is happening when I use a firewire also. I used to use a different Vista computer and it worked fine. I am wondering if it’s some setting on the computer itself.

I just reimported it using a different software. For some reason I have always had problems with Vegas and the HV20 camera. Just thought it would be easier to start over and now it works fine. Thanks for everyones time and help.

Figured it out…restarted it and it worked fine. Weird!
