    Thanks a lot for the reply;

    I’m trying to avoid the ‘stop-motion’ look and going for the more fluid movement…

  • Derek,

    thanks for the reply.

    Could you just clarify a little, what you meant by ‘make a shape layer the reverse of the bottom portion of your cutout’?

    Thanks again

  • Thank you,

    I will try to find it.

  • Sorry for the quality, I’ve found a higher resolution one and already updated my first post.

    So, should I create one longer comp with a layer of wobbling water drop and one layer of optical flare on top of that which will randomly light up; and then I’ll loop that animation and set ‘Random frame, loop’ as a sprite source in particular.

    Did I get that right?

    Also, my main problem is achieving that particle look. I can see some Glow on top and overblown white light on the bottom, but can’t quite pinpoint how they achieved that natural look of the drops.

    I just figured it our myself and am currently waiting for Media Encoder to finish encoding.

    Thanks for the answer, though.

    Angelo, thanks for the extensive reply.

    I tried your method, Premiere exported 6mb XML file just fine, but when I tried to import it in Redcine-X, nothing happened;

    Than I stripped the project and left only few scenes – but now Redcine just crashes during import.

    Are there any other means for this job?

    thanks

  • Thanks, Joe!

    November 4, 2011 at 8:44 am in reply to: Need render automation via scripts…

    Thanks for the answer, Michael,

    but the problem is, I’ll be having hundreds of user-uploaded pictures (which will be named 001.jpg, 002.jpg etc and sorted in separate folders for each user automatically) and I’ll be needing some sort of script, which will tell AE to replace placeholders with those images and run render for all those separate folders.

    For example, I’ll have 10 folders named 001, 002, 003 etc with 5 jpg-s in each, named 001.jpg, 002.jpg, 003.jpg etc., and I’ll need 10 video outputs with those different packs of pictures.
