i’m not sure about the camera, but green screen is very dependent on correct lighting and exposure for such. have you experience with green screen work?

first, have you recorded anything else on the cards? if so….
i’ve used ‘recuva’ with cards and managed to recover most ‘erased’ files, though not with sxs cards which i don’t use.
try throwing the files at handbrake – you never know…

of course the simplest method is to download sony’s FREE browse app and use it to view and if necessary transcode…

if you want a wider shot you’ll need to buy a wide angle lens adaptor. check with sony for model number or simply google…

i wouldn’t worry about 900hrs especially if the price is right – as long as the camera looks and operates as it should.
i don’t know for sure but i’m not aware of modern sensors ‘ageing’, i certainly remember burn in on tubes and damage caused by direct sunlight, but as far as ccd / cmos goes the only problem might possibly be dead pixels – i automatically check for them on any camera i’m looking at, stills or video – and since it’s interchangeable lenses, dust on the sensor, etc.,

i had this question a few years back buying an ex1…
it’s more a question of how the camera’s been treated rather than the hours on it. the ex1 i’d been looking at had 4,280 hours on it! in actual fact the camera was in immaculate condition having been used (almost untouched) in a studio setting as a wide shot – the whole studio system was NEVER turned off other than for routine maintenance. i was hesitant and by the time i’d talked to my tech (he saw no problem with it), it had sold to a cameraman i knew. he used it for about two years before moving on to another camera. it was still working perfectly when he passed it on to a friend to use as a b-roll.
of course ymmv, but since there’s no real ‘mechanical’ wear as such, and what there is is easily checked out (zoom, iris, focus), hinges, whathaveyou, i think the cameras general condition more important.

agree entirely re changeable lenses. simply too much hassle for too little benefit.
i think my ex1 will continue till either it, or i, breakdown. i’m still however toying with upgrading my nex5 (bought for a mini jib project) to maybe a a6300. i use my nikon glass on the nex5 with a cheap adaptor and am very happy with the results in general so am happy playing around at that budget level 😉

i did watch a number of video reviews about the 150, but other than one which actually compared it to an ex1 (and came to the same conclusions you have), most seemed to suffer the ‘new is better’, or i’ve bought this so it HAS to be better ????
i’m going to carry on with my ex1, though i did toy for quite a while (in fact ever since the z7) with the idea of an interchange lens camera, only to be very disappointed by a. the lack of range in ‘affordable’ 1/2″ lenses, b. the hassle of adapting any 1/2″ camera to b mount lenses.yes, i know it can be done, but after following various threads and the b4 facebook users comments i really haven’t the energy or patience to travel that route.
since i’m pretty much at the end of my career and don’t have to impress clients (mine are very happy with the ex1 material), i’m more inclined to ignore 4k and concentrate on pc upgrades and perhaps getting a dji drone – i do have a few potential projects that would pay for it – but a. i’m tired of learning new stuff, and b. with the plethora of hd drones around it might be easier to find someone with one for the jobs i have in mind…
