Sony XD Cam PXW-x70 – How do I get wide shots?
I have the Sony XDCam pxw-x70 and I cant seem to get a wider shot. Today I was filming a two person shot and even though I had it zoomed out all the way to the “w” the shot was like a medium close up. I literally had to walk back wards and stand farther away from them just to get their whole bodies in the frame.
It doesn’t make sense that this camera wouldn’t be able to get a wide shot – especially since the lens isn’t interchangeable is there something I should adjust in the settings?
I really don’t want to have to stand six feet away from the people I interview just to get them from the waist up >.< ZombieCat -

sounds about right.
if you want a wider shot you’ll need to buy a wide angle lens adaptor. check with sony for model number or simply google…

I had the same issue yesterday as I did a test shoot to get familiar with the new camera. Did you find a decent wide lens as suggested here?
