Hi,
Are you pressing “play” above the project media window or below the timeline? You won’t hear any volume change if you are using the play button above the project media window. -

When I pull the clip into Windows Media Player and click on File- Properties it tells me that the video size is: 720 x 480 and that the aspect ratio is: 4:3 actual, 16:9 displayed. Thanks for any insight you might have on this. -

My fault. When I created a title to replace “Pillusion” in Photoshop I left too much black “canvas” around the title. When I overlaid it over video in Vegas you could still see the outline of the canvas- Not much but enough to notice. I went back and brought it to just around the title and that fixed it. Thanks. -

Thanks guys. It does work using the mask in pan and crop but it took forever doing just three words. I’ll try both and let you know. Thanks again- If it wasn’t for this forum I would have given up using Vegas long ago- and missed out on one of the truly fun things I do! -

I can sort of do it using the mask tool with the pan and crop tool for the text(Edwardian). I guess if I added a zillion key frames and dragged the mask in the same manner that I would write it- it would work. I was hoping for a less time consuming method. Thanks for giving it a try! -

Alan, you were right. The default in Vegas 6 is to ignore alpha channels. Thanks.
