    Hi,
An older, slower computer is why I’m going with HDV. I cannot afford a new computer at this point in time. The HVR-Z1U is a beautiful camera but I (sadly) am in the $1500-$2000 range. Thanks to all for your help.

    Hi,
Les Stroud did a tutorial called “Using Trimmer As Source” that made me rethink using the trimmer. I had so many clips on the timeline (that I was splitting here and there) it was a bit confusing-so I tried using the trimmer as source and it helped. I believe the tutorial is on the SCS site.

    Hi John,
When I open Vegas again the media manager page is blank-no icons, etc. Just an x top right corner. Close Vegas- open again- it’s back with library files and icons. Weird. I can use it like this but it seems odd.

    Hi,
I opened 8c and created a library named Vegas 8c. Then I opened 9E and created a library named 9E. Same behavior. Where should the Media Library folder be stored? Currently it is not in C. Maybe that is the problem.

    Hi John,
Thanks for the reply. I am unsure how to set up each having their own database. Is there be a tutorial explaining the procedure? Thanks.

    Thank you,Fred. That worked perfectly.

  • Hi,
Also, in Particle Illusion look at the top left of the screen- the symbol “BG” with the red x through it-click it to turn the background (Video) off. Then render out. I use Lagarith codec. Be sure to configure it as RGBA-to enable alpha channel. Then, as John said, enable alpha channel in Vegas.
