Strange Media Manager Behavior
Hi,
I am using Vegas Pro 8C and 9E on the same computer. Media Manager has been enabled for both and its tab is visible in both. It will only be usable every other time I open either program. In other words, if I open 8C and hit the Media Manager tab it will only show a blank page. If I then close out 8C and open it again, Media Manager will be right there and usable. Same behavior with 9E. Is it because the two are “sharing” the one program? Any help on this would be appreciated. -

It might be a compatibility problem. I would have them each use their own database. This way they will not conflict with each other.

Select New Media Library… from the options menu and create one.

Hi,
I opened 8c and created a library named Vegas 8c. Then I opened 9E and created a library named 9E. Same behavior. Where should the Media Library folder be stored? Currently it is not in C. Maybe that is the problem. -
I don’t see why it has to be on C: although that’s where I have mine. So if you add some media to the library and then open Vegas again the media is not there? I’m not sure what’s happening.

Hi John,
When I open Vegas again the media manager page is blank-no icons, etc. Just an x top right corner. Close Vegas- open again- it’s back with library files and icons. Weird. I can use it like this but it seems odd. -
Wow that is very odd for the GUI to actually not appear. I have no idea what might be causing this. I would contact Sony technical support of that. Something is definitely not right.
