  • Hi,
With Particle Illusion you can pull your files from Vegas to PI-add effects- turn off the background (leaving only the particles on the stage with a transparent BG)- and then pull just the particles into Vegas. No need to Chroma Key. I tested both FX Home Effects Lab Pro and Particle Illusion 3.0 and settled on Particle Illusion.

    Hi,
If you are working with widescreen you need to find the square pixel equivalent in PI. Do a search in this forum under “Widescreen”. Pi only supports square pixels. When you pull your clip back into Vegas right click it, choose Properties-Media-then in the drop down menu change it to 1.2121 NTSC DV widescreen and see if that helps.

  • Thanks. I found explanations for all of the panning modes in the Vegas help section under “Audio Panning Modes”.

  • Hi,
So what would be the best setting for this kind of situation? Balance 0db;balance-3db; balance -6db; constant power or film? Is there anything in Douglas Spotted Eagle’s Vegas Pro Editing Workshop books explaining the differences? Thanks for any info on this.

    Also-
Users who tear Vegas up one side and down the other after stating they have already switched to a “Better, Bigger, Sexier, Mind Numbingly Faster” NLE. And now the birds are always singing, the sun is always shining, the children are always playing and all is right with the world.
But they’ll still log on to Vegas forums-find a user with a question or a problem- and instead of helping- go on and on about the “Bigger, Better,Sexier, etc.etc.etc.” NLE. I saw that exact thing on another Vegas forum yesterday.
If you dislike Vegas and are already using another video editor go bother the people in those forums.
    But that’s just my opinion.

    Hi,
When you “save as” in your “save as type” drop down menu choose PNG. The next window will be “output options”. Choose your start frame and end frame.

    Hi,
A Combination of Deflector and Force seems to work. Force just in front of Deflector. I tried that and stopped a flamethrower.
