You could export your titles as image files, but you won’t be able to add any text behaviors in Motion. You could certainly add any of the filters such as glow. In the future I recommend that you compose the titles in Motion. That way you can access all of Motion’s Behaviors and Filters, as well as have easy access to editing the text.Lee

Try setting your canvas and viewer to Fit to Window.

Perhaps you could export the footage in a more transportable format such as H.264, Mpeg 4 or even DV. I’m assuming you captured SDI to Uncompressed 8-bit. Even if you client can get the files to open properly his portable drive probably won’t be fast enough to play the uncompressed media.
Good Luck,

I run the Main Out XLR Back to my Io. I run the 1/4″ phone Control Room outputs to a powered speaker pair (Roland MA-8), but you could run it to any amp/speaker combo. For layback to my Betacam Deck I use the Alt Out 3-4 which I believe is balanced 1/4-inch TRS. I use the RCA phono tape out to feed VHS and DVD recorders.
You could put a DA on the XLR output, but that could cost from $200 to $300. I’ve found that some of the less expensive DA’s with high impedence inputs add distortion to the signal. The Laird LTM-ADA6 1×6 Balanced Audio Distribution Amplifier has 600-Ohm inputs, but is going to cost almost $300. Perhaps someone has a less expensive suggestion.

I have the Behringer UB 1204 which is 12″ deep by 9″ wide. Eight inputs, plenty of outputs. Cost me $150.00 in October of 2004. I never turn it off and it’s run flawlessly.

Try saving as a your Photoshop file as a PNG. This format retains image transparency.

Bob,
You may be right. The more I think about it the reference issue causes the video and blanking to shift vertically not horizontally. From his post it sounds as if the H shift is happening randomly during a full program edit to tape. Perhaps he should try a different deck if one is available. He could also try just recording the sequence without using the edit to tape feature.Lee

Note the TC where the shift occurs and check it at playback. If the shift is still there then it is not an external reference issue. While annoying, the external H shift in Sony Betacam machines does not affect the recording.

So Bob, what kind of mixer do you recommend? 😉

I edited Media 100 from 1999 to 2004. I miss it’s media management and ability to mix resolutions. I don’t miss it’s A/B roll with a graphic track paradigm. By the way we used a Tascam mixer on the M100 output in much the same configuration I use for FCP.Good luck on your monitoring search.
