    I’ve fixed it!
I used the four point garbage matte on the clip, moved the points around and it vanishes!

It was in V2, I’m not sure if this would make a difference, but it’s a wierd problem I have never encountered before.

    Thanks for your help Mike.

The box outputs from the timeline to the Monitor I’m using, even after rendering. So I’m guessing it’s not a bounding box.
I have tried scaling the footage, then putting the blue key on (as the box is the size of the preview window) but it didn’t work.

    Hi again.

Many thanks for the help. The 16point garbage matt seems to be fine, is there a way to add more points for finer detail, or a different effect which achives the same results, but with more control?

I was hoping for some feedback from people that may have used the camera and have an un-biased, independent opinion.

    LOL!
    OK, i see your point.
Is there a noticeable difference in quality, which has the best lens?
I don’t want pointless features, I need a solid – well made peice of kit suitable for making music videos and indie films / docs.

Having used the PD150 and XL1, I prefer the XL1 in terms of picture quality, but the PD150 is more user friendly and more solidly built.

Is this the same for the HD versions? I also hear that the lens for the Sony is not interchangeable. Is this true?

So far it sounds like I am swaying toward the Canon camp, I just wondered what everyone else thinks.

Many thanks Mike. That sounds fine. But if I export as an avi then the file size will be large, does Flash refer to the original video file when loading in a webpage?
I know i’m kinda in the wrong forum for this reply, but when i upload my site to the web do I include the original video file as well as my flash video? If so i’m going to run out of webspace pretty quickly.

I did a quick test and my avi file (320 X 240) 1 min long was in the region of about 60meg ! Are there any other settings i need to be aware of?

Also – And I apologise for dragging this thread out even longer, but I have some video files encoded as “.m2p” , how can i import them into premiere and convert them as standard avi files? They won’t import.

Alternatively, is there any third party software that will convert? I have tried several free and shareware ones, but they don’t seem to work thzt well.

    Many thanks
