Is the an option to “interpret footage” on FCP 6, like there is in Adobe Premier?
Have 7D footage at 50p.

Yes, it is H.264 compression. I am assuming that is my problem. Compressor is giving me all kinds of problem converting the clips. Says ‘unknown time’ in the progress bar and stays that way. Tried a program called CineForm but it bites. I copied all the files to a brand new G Drive and still the same issue. Looks like I may have to convert all the files through FCP, which would take a few days, unless there is another option I am hoping someone will enlighten me. Please? Help?

Squareon both the master clips and the clips in the Sequence.
I have never fooled with those video attributes that apparently had an effect on one of my Sequences.

Thank you Tom. I believe it was a corrupt sequence. All the settings matched.
I copied the clips in to a new sequence, still had the issue. But when I removed the ‘Basic Motion’ and ‘distort’ video attributes it fixed it.
What are these attributes? How can removing something I never applied fix this?

There is no FC prefs folder. I just did a real install and still no folder. I also lost my FCP icon, WTF? How am I supposed to launch the app. now? Getting a little silly.

Thank you for your input. Correct for aspect ratio is selected and the image is still 4:3.
Is there a reason why the sequence clips wouldn’t match the aspect ration of the master clips? In other words its the whole sequence,and just this sequence.
