  • Sequence present and preference folder.

I am having issues on a couple of different fronts.

One, I have a sequence that has all of a sudden shown up in the canvas in 4:3. The original format is HDV720p30, as is all the media and the sequence presets. It has also started to require A LOT of rendering, when at the start of the project I never needed to render.

Two, I went to trash my prefs, but there is no FCP folder inside the prefs. folder. I recently upgraded from 5.1 to 6 with the Studio upgrade package before the start of the project.

    Any takers?

    Thank you
    Laurent

First have a look if the Canvas is displaying Square pixels, so check “Correct for aspect ratio”.
The FC Prefs are in User/Lybrary/Preferences/FinalCutPro User Data.

Thank you for your input. Correct for aspect ratio is selected and the image is still 4:3.

Is there a reason why the sequence clips wouldn’t match the aspect ration of the master clips? In other words its the whole sequence, and just this sequence.

There is no FC prefs folder. I just did a real install and still no folder. I also lost my FCP icon, WTF? How am I supposed to launch the app. now? Getting a little silly.
