I should have mentioned that I’m only shooting in HLG to benefit from the added dynamic range in grading, not to create HDR content. Having made sure my working colour space was rec.709 and double-checked my export settings, I’ve got it matching.
Having used Filmconvert Nitrate with the HLG2 profile, the footage looks good.
Premiere still seems to be very unreliable with frequent restarts. I’ve also noticed that mask tracking isn’t working; Adobe is getting back to me on that!
Eight years of using Premiere Pro, and eight years of stress! Lol!
Ready to jump to Davinci resolve, I think!

I have tracked the flare successfully, but my question is how can move the flare around in real-time so I can position it perfectly within the footage because right now its tracked the centre point defined in mocha?

yes, I currently do that. Not really sure why I asked the question as I know the project folder doesn’t physically hold any data ????

I will mostly be recording ambient and environmental sounds, for ambient sounds the rode videomic pro doesn’t cut it, plus its not stereo. I need I double system so I can be flexible and not have to leave my camera running to capture background noise. Cameras used are nikon d7200, Sony a6500 and the new a9 when its released.

just uninstalled absolutely everything adobe related and went through my program files cleaning a ton of crap left behind from older versions, reinstalled, now its working! phew!

yes I understand how luts work this is why I fine tune the exposure afterwards with a curves. its almost like it goes to half res…
