I wouldn’t ask this question if I knew everything about AE… 😉

Here’s how it works for me: I do the editing job in Premiere, and when it comes to effects, I bring the Premiere project to AE to spice it up.

Try to create that credit list in Illustrator, then you can import the file into AE.
