    Brett,

Was in a week-long edit recently and my editor had the same issues, snapping, etc. He had a long tech support phone call with Apple and eventually had to trash his entire user pref folder. Tried reinstalling and everything else first, but deleting Prefs folder contents solved the problem. Inconvenient, but successful.

I have the same issue and would hope the update would be savvy enough not to mess us up. Not certain so I’ve held off.

Maybe holding on to LiveType is what’s doing it.

Clearly Apple is preparing an extensive book (The Manual) for sale that will probably cost 45.
And I’ll probably buy it because what’s online is ridiculous.

OK, I got it. I assigned a keyboard command for the play all function. That keyboard assignment menu is a bit hard to find, but very helpful.

    Thanks.

Thanks Willie. So what you’re saying is that unless the entire file is visible, it will stop playing. That really seems awkward in that most timelines will scrol.

    Thanks again.

    Willie,

I wondered about that one too! I have one navigation question I’ve not been able to figure out. If the timeline view doesn’t show the whole file, how can I get it to autoscroll on playback and not stop at the end of the view?

    Thanks very much.

I tested several discs with Power DVD (V4) and WMP (V10) on the software side. Also my standalone Panny DVD Recorder. I did solve the problem after I discovered a tip surfing somewhere to set the subtitles to off (there weren’t any subtitles in the project). I think it was originally set to 1 or 0. Shouldn’t the Check Project alert you to this?

I wasn’t very optimistic, but it actually worked.

    Thanks Jeff.

Thanks for the tips. Encoding was indeed the problem.
