Yeah I can’t imagine buying a Z1, even though it is pretty cool, to run OSX when there’s already the 27″ iMac and I’m sure a more powerful iMac coming soon…

The Z1 is great for CG machines in tight spaces but to actually build one with Quadro 4000 graphics and decent CPU’s etc jumps nearly 6 grand really quick!

  • Is your media on its own hard drive? What type of media is it? Vegas does really well with XDCAM and XDCAM 422, sadly not so good with other codecs and it’s gotten worse in 11 instead of better.

Did you do complete uninstall of ATI drivers? There is some good news – your new card will run CS6 with insane real-time performance. I’ve stacked up to 6 effects on a 1080p clip with no slow down!

I got you the first time and totally agree. I hope this subscription model proves viable – it was certainly less expensive than buying outright and I get app’s I might not have paid for including soon to be added Lightroom.

The Cloud service 50% discount is for all users going back to CS3 – Adobe has never been this generous before. Which is why I’ve already joined – whether I use Premiere or not, it’s a huge bargain plus 20GB of storage and hosting for up to 5 domains. I hope this is a viable business model for Adobe, it’s certainly less expensive for me as a user.

The demos were great – just painful to get to. I might have brought in a celeb such as Conan, who needs a new website, identity pkg. etc. and let him lead the path through all the demos instead of the fictional fashion site.

Fear of public speaking is one of the greatest fears known to man – other than the CEO, that fear was very apparent.

Ummm, uh, Adobe, uh uh, ummm, C, umm uh, uh S umm uh…

This is why Toastmasters exists, to help hone your public speaking skills. One of the things you always have when you speak is someone acting as the umm/uh counter. Adobe, as a billion dollar company needs to send their team to Toastmasters or never do a live webcast again… painful.

  • Well HP should have had the proper rep showing the Z1 at NAB. We walked away scratching our heads – earthquake – okay back – wondering what they were thinking…
