You will find a lot of answers here, anyway, just a few thoughts:

– Davinci GUI is a full screen interface, the Viewer cannot be detached.
– you need at least two GPU’s
– Intensity card means HDMI output for HDMI monitors, Decklink card means HDSDI output for HDSDI monitors.

And I’m sure someone will comment, that “grading for only web” is not an excuse for not having a calibrated, grading monitor:)
Just for example, what if some of your work will be shown on a graded display? You don’t want to be surprised.

anyway, h264 files are fine for me, if they play it with the right app (i always advise VLC)

some say, it’s hard to get used to the “”greenish”” highlights compared to CRT’s, or plazmas.

Oh, I see, so there’s still no “Software only” for Linux, but it’s included with the panel for free.

hi,

well, firstly I think these parameters – like the gain – are displayed as rounded number. You can move your Hue wheel on your controller so little, that the image changes, but the number isn’t.

So I think the best to test it, is with a very simply parameter, like Saturation.
Node 1 – Saturation 100
Node 2 – Saturation 90

Changed ripple mode to Relative, and brought down it to:
Node 1 – Saturation 90
Node 2 automatically adjusted to 81.

No problems here:)

when you create a timeline, all clip belong to “Default Group”.
If you create a new group, make some adjustments, and then you want to change only one node, then the way to do it is:

Right click on that node, and click on
“Default Group” – “Load”.

After that, you’ll be able to adjust it individually. No need to delete the group, voilá:)
