Color Grading – only for internet-media based purposes: Vimeo, YouTube, iPad’s ect.
Hi,
Right now I have GTX285 contected to two CG Eizo monitors – I can expand daVinci workspace for two monitors, but how to use a one of this monitor only as a playback monitor?
Also I want to buy a third monitor – dedicated just for playback.All I want is to Color Grade internet-only media – such as Vimeo reals, YouTube, ect. Web-pages content.
I believe that almost 95% of my works will be streamed to sRGB displays – iPad’s, smartPhones, Laptops, ect.
How to setup workstation with DaVinci for this specific kind of needs?
Do I need a I/O card? Do I need a broadcast monitor?How to setup daVinci (light version) to use one of my monitor only for playback?
Can I use intensity card with daVinci 8.2 light? Or should I choose DeckLink card?(OSX10.6.8+GTX285)

You will find a lot of answers here, anyway, just a few thoughts:– Davinci GUI is a full screen interface, the Viewer cannot be detached.
– you need at least two GPU’s
– Intensity card means HDMI output for HDMI monitors, Decklink card means HDSDI output for HDSDI monitors.And I’m sure someone will comment, that “grading for only web” is not an excuse for not having a calibrated, grading monitor:)
Just for example, what if some of your work will be shown on a graded display? You don’t want to be surprised. -
point of calibration is that you get the same result every time. how else you would know
that your picture is accurate even for web. like in print there are color charts for that.—

Thank you – I will try Intensity Pro card with EIZO CG monitor first.
I will let you know if it works. Intensity card is already bought.
The problem is that several ports in my workstation are taken by RAID controler and GTX285.
