im not sure what you mean by element but i create all my text in photoshop. i find that if i save for the web, PNG it retains all the effects. if i use anything else the effects get all messed up.

so how do i account for square pixels?

    well thanks josh.
well i capture with my wintv card software (i know i know dont make fun but its all i have to work with right now and really its not that bad).
now i edit in vegas but i found that i run into few (if any) problems capturing right from the wintv software.

and i used to use premiere but i really cant stand it, so what would be another way for me to capture a image seq and/or as quicktime?

    ok thanks,
well let me ask u this, i capture .avi, but for some reason i cant use the raw captured file and import into AE until i render it in my NLE (which i then render as .mov and keep it that way until im done with all my work and render out to mpeg2 for DVD).

so do u know if there is a way to make .avi lossless or a way for a pc to capture in quicktime formatt?

well first i do my mpeg render in vegas 4.0 and from there i put it on my flash drive and the flash doesnt work on any system i try it on (but it did use to work and i dont know what i did different).

now as far as the DVD i take the mpeg that i just made from vegas and pull that into DVD architect. now the DVD works fine on every system ive tried it on but when i tried it on one of my computers i get the “looking for codec sever” (win media player) now if i try it with realplayer it plays but audio is slow and the video looks like its draging a bit.

thats the whole thing. when i open it in explorer theres nothing there. no contents at all. but it will open the disc as if there is something on it.
im pretty sure it wasnt captured on a camcorder but put on disc later.
