i have a disk from a friend (that im sure will turn into a client) of a wedding shot in africa (NTSC formatt), but i cant get the disk to read on any player. i do know that some burners have trouble with multi burning and will only allow u to use the ROM it was burned on. i run into this problem with nero.
can anyone tell me how to get around this.

If the disc was recorded directly with a DVD-camcorder or on a stand alone DVD recorder, it could be that the DVD isn’t “closed” and that it can’t be read on any other device than the one it was recorded with.

If you view the contents of this DVD in Windows Explorer, which folders and files do you see?

thats the whole thing. when i open it in explorer theres nothing there. no contents at all. but it will open the disc as if there is something on it.
im pretty sure it wasnt captured on a camcorder but put on disc later.

The disc still could be burned on a standalone DVD recorder. May guess is that the disc isn’t closed.
