ProRes files lock and load just with my install of Premiere CC (MacPro). They edit nicely on the timeline. All the Quicktime codecs are also present and accounted for in the export options. Back to topic, response on my Mac is incredible.

Something else to check. Audio bit depth. Is your source 16-bit audio, or 24-bit audio? The source and the output have to match. If not, audio drift happens.

There is a serious problem with the OS X 10.6.7 update documented over on Apple’s discussion site. It is corrupting Open Type fonts (.otf) in Final Cut Pro, InDesign, Acrobat, and other professional production Programs. Title 3D in FCP mashes Myriad Pro font and is causing serious problems for me since clients want that font. Video professionals are going back to OS X 10.6.6 where fonts work normally.
Apple needs to fix this recent update.

See the Apple discussion in the Snow Leopard room. The OS X 10,6.7 update is corrupting Open Type fonts like Adobe Garamond and the ever so popular Myriad Pro. This is not only happening in Title 3D with final cut pro, but other production software like Acrobat, InDesign, and more. It’s a serious problem that Apple needs to fix quickly. I have exactly the same issue as you, and am not aware of any workAround. Tried doing titles in Boris Grafitti, but Apple broke that too!
Maybe someone else has some ideas?

Craig mentioned Calibrated Software EX MP4 plug-in. This plus Square Box Software\’s CatDV is a dream come true, avoiding wrapped files AND log-and-transfer. Best money ever spent. Why wait another year for the next version of FCP from the same people who just delivered a new MacPro with yesteryear\’s hardware? ; – )
