When you say you don’t get any actual video, is this with Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0? What kind of AVI file is it?

If you’re getting an extended desktop output then the card is working. What could be happening when you install the later drivers is that the output could be in a format that your external monitor does not support. For example, NTSC output to a PAL monitor, Try changing the desktop output resolution and see if that helps.

If you’re going to be capturing using Adobe Premiere Pro, then the easiest way is to use the presets we’ve provided when you install the drivers. These presets should appear when you try and start a new Adobe Premiere Pro project.

Firstly, are you playing out SD or HD?

Check your output settings in the System Preferences > Intensity and make sure your output is really set to composite and not on component.

Maybe try capturing to your internal SATA drive which will be capable of 8-bit uncompressed and see if the same thing is happening. Try to rule out any XServe related issues first.

Hi Scott,

It is not a DVI cable so if you were to substitute it with one, your Multibridge will not function. The cable we provide only comes in one length.

Depends on what kind of analog. All outputs are live but if you’re monitoring HDMI, then the analog output that you can monitor is component as that will also be in HD.

Hi Hernan,

You’re attempting to use your DeckLink display output as a computer monitor. Unfortunately, you will not get the best performance out of it due to the limited amount of memory available compared to a typical “computer” type graphics card.

If you want to play a video full screen, I would recommend using the free Blackmagic Deck Control application which is installed by the driver in your Applications folder.

Hi James,

HDLink has 2 channels audio analog output and HDLink Pro has 6. These audio channels are de-embedded from the SDI input. If you’re planning to use HDLink as component of your monitoring solution with DeckLink SDI, you’ll still be fine 🙂
