Is it possible that the ‘jerkiness’ is due to the 15fps? Maybe try a 30fps version and see what they say.

Ok, narrowed it down.
Can I run the Radeon card on 8 lanes? This would solve my problem. If not it looks like it would be best to buy a second Mac for the Avid setup.

Agree. I love how Avid handles decomposing/batching. FCB has the batch export thing down (wish avid would do that) but as for re-digitising a sequence…. avid wins hands down.

If it’s a stereo file you may be able to improve it (ie: remove the echo) by inverting the phase of one of the channels. Otherwise you’re pretty much stuck with it.

Unless you’re one of those editors that just keeps stacking. God, I hate that. Anyway, if you’re printing an EDL it must mean you’re going to a non FCP environment, maybe a grade or online. Keep it as simple as possible. Remember also that you can only have 999 events in an EDL, so if you have more edits than that split it in half.
