    Hi all,

    The scene is this…

8 core 3ghz mac originally set up for FCP with AJA Kona 3 card, Apple Raid Card and ATI Radeon HD2600 XT grfx card. Everything is great but I got the chance of a 3 month hire if I could add AVID functionality. Easy, avid and I go back 15 years. MC 2.8 and an SDI Mojo on a separate boot disk and it’s all cool.

    PCI cards fitted thusly….

    Slot 1: ATI Radeon card
    Slot 2: Empty
    Slot 3: Kona 3
    Slot 4: Apple Raid card

Now, the Avid Unity tech comes in to install an ATTO fibre card and says he had to remove my AJA card (from slot 3). I really need the AJA card. There are 4 slots on the mac and I need to know how many PCI lanes are required by the ATTO card, the AJA, the Radeon and the RAID card so I can re-configure the allocation to support the FC card AND the AJA.

Hope this makes sense and appreciate any info available.

    Kris.

    Ok, narrowed it down.

Can I run the Radeon card on 8 lanes? This would solve my problem. If not it looks like it would be best to buy a second Mac for the Avid setup.
