Thank you very much. Great input and a very manageable one, finance-wise!

Three of the four cameras are DVX’s. Interestingly, one DVX100, one DVX100a, and one DVX100b.

Do you know of any incompatibility issues I should be aware of between the three models, in terms of synch?

As an aside: The fourth camera will likely be a Canon XL2. Any suggestions for synching this? I suppose we could do a rough and dirty synch by setting that cam to FREE RUN at “about” the same time, then live with it in post. Any ideas, however, to be more exact?

If it’s just the protective filter (on the outside) and not the actual lens (on the inside), then simply remove the filter and purchase a new one.

The outer filter is threaded on to the camera. (Lefty loosey.)

B&H sells them — if I recall correctly — for about $20. In the meantime, you could shoot without the filter, just be really really careful.

To find the lens filter, look up the camera on B&H, then go to “Accessories” and the protective filter will be listed there.
