scratched lens repair
Hello all,
I bought a used 100 that was described as in excellent condition with no wear–it came with a scratch on the lens that noticeable mars the picture. I’m trying to decide now whether to pursue a refund or mess with getting it repaired. It looks like the glass on the front of the 100 is a sort of built-in protective filter, separate from the pricey Leica-Dicomar lens; so I’m hoping it would be relatively inexpensive to get this superficial glass replaced. But I’m unfamiliar with the construction of these camcorders and the cost of repair. Can anyone give me an idea of how complicated it is to fix this and about how much it would cost? I’d greatly appreciate the help. Thanks, Chris
