Thanks so much!! I will certain create a template – and you’re right I am looking at most of their videos on the internet which I know allows for different rendering settings.

Hi John,

I do have one quick question – as I’m doing some research and looking around I see that many wedding videographers have final products that look extremely sharp – how do they get that crisp look. I’m shooting in 1080p but the rendering, due to the fact that we’re making DVD’s for the couple, is coming out at 720×480, significantly decreasing the resolution.

Is there any other choice for rendering the video for a DVD that would provide a higher level of quality?

This message was very helpful – thanks to both of you for bringing up the topic and the great answer.

I do have one follow up question. I’m currently also rendering a video to be used and shown on a DVD and when I utilize the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream template it automatically changes my resolution to 480?… is that correct?

When I do try to customize the template so that it is 1920×1080 I receive and error message. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much for your time and help! 🙂

Hi John,

Thanks so much for getting back to me and I do apologize for not answering sooner! I really appreciate your help and advice. 🙂 I took a look at the aspect ratio and the template with which I was rendering and changed it to default and that seemed to take care of the issue. I’ll be sure to remember to double check my render and project aspects in the future.

Thank you so much for your feedback and advice! I did as you said and unfortunately it did not fix our problem, but we discovered that the issue was actually with the alpha channel renderings that had been created. The animation path did not line up with the media we were trying to overlay and was actually

Thanks to Danny and John for your help! I did utilize John’s method and it worked perfectly for what we were trying to accomplish, but am really glad to know the other rout as that will help with various projects. 🙂

As to how we’re using the images – i work for an Architecture and Engineering firm and our architects design 3d models using BIM they like to create animations panning through the building and around the exterior for interviews, proposals etc. Your feedback really saved us as we were working on a deadline!
