i map often used controls to one of my 4 buttons on my wacom….one is fro grade on or off toggle, another for moving around the different rooms in color, etc…its very handy to have often used buttons at your fingertips. i also find using the magic trackpad for sliding around on the time line very useful….

how can you see the scopes when they’re tucked away behind the gui monitor…like the idea of stacking them tho!

if you have external scopes…and if you dont? thats why a second display for scopes is so great….

in a grading application, the scopes should always be on…whats the point of having them off? maybe making them smaller or bigger to help with screen real estate but i cant see the point in having them off!

agree…there is way to much right click, left click things in this software…a dedicated button or assigning a keystroke would make more sense..and i would love to see a grade off/ grade on switch….the toggle up for on and toggle down for off is a pain ..better to have one key…push it once for on, push it again for off!

before you laugh, check out the new mac mini with thunderbolt…now imagine chaining 3 monitors to that little thing….one of them a fully calibrated hi def display and i think anyone can see where the future of the mac is going. obviously you would need a fast internal hard drive and a whole ton of very fast thunderbolt equipped external drives, but if you really really think about it……in the latest benchmark tests the new mac mini blew away even the fastest pro tower of just 2 years ago. who knows what next year will bring….my ideal would be a mc mini tower with 3 drive bays and at least on slot for a hot graphics card……i remember the first time i showed a client fcp version 2 running on an old white ibook with firewire. they could not believe that it was just as quick and more compact than their old avid running on a macpro. looks like apple may be once again stirring up the so called “professional” industry people!
remember you read it here first!
