I converted the iPhone to HDV 720p60 from compressor. This the same format that the JVC used when you set the camera to 720p60 Sp I looked at the file with “Media Inspector” and the only thing I see different is the codec, the camera is hdv9 and compressor3 is apcn.
I have not run the file as a self-contained movie yet. I did checked to make sure the sequence didn’t need to be rendered. It did not.

Bryson, in a Stand alone setup would you keep your hires and proxies on separate drives? I just started with CatDV 9.4 last night and tried to make proxies. I took quite a while. I have not worked with proxies before so maybe this is normal, but it really slowed down the work flow

I have a similar question. Our client wants full HD, but I am not sure which framerate is better 108060i(HQ) or 1080/30p(HQ) The shoot is a Blues show at a local lounge where the lighting is somewhat low, (working on that with a lighting designer) Most bands are pretty static, not a lot of jumping around or moving objects on the stage. Down the road this show will also be streamed to the web.

I was ready to buy two of these to mount on my two Canon XLH1s until I found out I would have to stop recording to switch cards. Good thing Sound Device has a nice product that I can buy, it records to a SSD
