Thank you. I appreciate it. Is there a way to make the layer above the only selected layer? Right now I get the original layer and the layer above selected at the same time.

Thanks for this Dan. I appreciate you taking the time. I was thinking that it would be great to have the ability to select any property, but I can see how that would get complicated. Thanks again.

Here’s what I was hoping to do:

1. Select <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Blur Radius on the <b style=”font-family: inherit; font-size: inherit;”>Square layer.

2. Run a script.

3. Result is that on the Blur Amount Slider found on the Master Control layer an expression is written: thisComp.layer(“square”).effect(“Fast Box Blur”)(“Blur Radius”)

It would be great if the expression is written to the Blur Amount Slider to reflect whatever is selected in the comp.

Let me know if that makes sense and is even possible. Thanks.

Thanks, Dan. I appreciate it. For some reason, it’s still throwing an error.

When I use the script below I get a message stating “Unable to execute script at line 5. Expected: ;”

var myComp = app.project.activeItem;
var myProps = myComp.selectedProperties;
var myExpr = "thisComp.layer("Master Null").effect("Drive")("Output 01")";
for (var i = 0; i < myProps.length; i++){
	if (myProps[i].canSetExpression) myProps[i].expression = myExpr;
}

Thank you! I gave it a go but it’s not working. If I select a layer and the position property I get a message stating that I need to select at least one property and when I select the keyframes from the Lockdown plugin nothing happens.

Yes! That’s working. Thank you. Is there any way to name the null layer based on the selected property and also have it create a null for each point selected so that there is a null titled “Point1”, “Point2” and so on depending on what’s selected?
