Thanks for the quick answer Ed. I hope you are feeling well. One other question. After I’ve captured the video can I play it back with a loop function to feed a cable channel over night. Basically it would have to play twice and then we would go back to live programming the second day?

I just bought a BOXX laptop with AMD dual core 64 processor, 200gigs of stoage, 3 gig of RAM,4 USB-2 ports, 2 firewire ports, 10 memory card/mini-drive slots, 2 DVD Dual layer burners, 17″ hi-def wide screen and surround sound with sub-woofer etc., etc. The order process was fast and efficient. I misunderstood the original drive configuration and they shipped it back and forth over night, reconfigured the drives and tested it at no additional cost. It looks great and runs better. I will be buying a Boxx desktop soon. All I can say is THIS BOXX ROCKS!!

The subject of this thread is not computer security. It is about the CONSTANT & UUNRELENTING solicitation to subscribe to a new magazine. I know that a push for subscribers will bring in ad revenue BUT enough already! I have clicked on “I’ve already subscribed” dozens of times. That should have removed me from the solicitation list. If not, why not? Is it just eye candy? Perhaps the COW computer gets it’s files flushed on a regular basis as well. If so why is it OK for them and not for me? I HAVE SUBSCRIBED
I’M NOT GOING TO SUBSCRIBE AGAIN, AND AT THIS POINT I’M READY TO UN-SUBSCIBE!
Happy Monday everyone. -
Digital Juice has a great set of stock footage on DVD. It’s mostly high-def & 35mm film. A lot of it is on green screen. It is not free, but you get so much for the price it seems like it. Its all good stuff!
FREE usually means do it yourself. -
Does this mean we should not expect any major updates at this years NAB? Sony/Vegas has given use new versions for the last two years. Does anyone have an ear to the ground as to what we could expect for this years NAB?

January 2, 2006 at 10:37 pm in reply to: When will there be a 64 bit version of Vegas? We captured each cam seperately in post production. synced them on the timeline with 4 windows in the preview. then synced the audio from a 24bit, 96k broadcast audio wave master that was imported from a CD.
I don’t know of any easy way to capture 4 live cams other than using a switcher to a master deck. If you do that you should also run iso tapes in each camera to cover any mistakes made in switching.
I have not seen an application that allows you to capture multiple cameras live. Perhaps someone more knowledgable than I can address that issue -

I’ve dealt with them for years and they did agreat job for about $2400 excluding the external drives. Input is from a Sony HDV deck

We are running Vegas 6 on a 64bt windows machine and It is rock solid. ‘just finished a 4 camera shoot dual layer DVD for a Los Angeles musical group complete with 24bt,96khz broadcast audio wave sound. It has been almost 4 months in the making and Vegas has been flawless! We used the G-tech, G-raid drives and could not ask for anything better. -
Thanks Ed. Once again, you’ve saved my bacon. Let me know when you need a free VO!
