OK, But how do I isolate, for instance the white background in this clip, and only manipulate that white and not the subject, in PrePro?
In FCP, I can select that background and then use the luma and saturation in the 3 Way Color Corrector to blow the background out without blowing the subject out.
Ideas?

OK, I have a question. What if your auto-save is not in the project file? I started a new project. Set the auto-save to save every 7 minutes and nada. The project folder only shows the Adobe Premiere Pro Preview Files and no auto save folder is being created. Any thoughts

Great. Would love to know how it comes out. We are going to use a five foot jib arm with a fluid head on the tripod and one for the end of the jib. The DP will control the jib at the camera and the PA will be locking down the jib arm on command.

We actually opted out and used the Red 1. But what I can tell you is that if you do shoot with ANY DSLR convert the footage to PRO RES. I know it may sound bizarre but you’ll get a better key. We’ve done a few tests on converting H.264 4-2-0 footage, which is what DSLRs shoot on, to pro res and the key was much better. We could control the edges much easier on the keyed subject.
What I will tell you is light the green screen really well and make sure you have no spill on the subject, meaning no green reflection on the thing or person you are filming. If you can record to an external device that does 4,2,2 color sampling it will make your life much less stressful in post.

Hi All:
Was wondering if anyone had solved this issue of not burning on the Pioneer player. I have the 205 using the Nexstar Dx inclosure and am using Encore in cs5.5. Encore recognizes the player but when I insert a disc it won’t recognize that there is a disc in the player. It keeps asking me to insert a disc when there is one in it. I have hooked up the player on three different machines, all having cs5.5 and I get the same problem. I have tried using different discs and no luck.
Distressing since Videoguys does say this works with macs and authors BRDs. Would love to know if anyone has found a solution.

The client wants me to take some shots of a product they have, produce and edit a piece, and then turn over all footage to them for future B-roll use. My issue would be more so over pricing. I’ve read some copyright articles that state if YOU are the author of the work you are the owner of the footage. If I am to give up all the footage and not just turn over an edited piece would I be justified in charging more for giving up those rights and footage?
