  • Isolating a color like FCP 3 way color correct does

    Posted by Kevin Gonzales on February 28, 2013 at 6:11 pm

    Hi Guys:

    I am switching over to PP from FCP and was wondering if PP has a color correction feature like FCP’s 3 Way Color Corrector has, where you can isolate one color/highlight/background and manipulate as seen in the attached photos?

    Making the switch little by little.

    Thanks;

    You can do pretty much everything with the Premiere 3-way color corrector that you can do in FCP.

    OK, But how do I isolate, for instance the white background in this clip, and only manipulate that white and not the subject, in PrePro?

    In FCP, I can select that background and then use the luma and saturation in the 3 Way Color Corrector to blow the background out without blowing the subject out.

    Ideas?

    Thanks;

    in the 3-way color corrector, just scroll down to the “Secondary Color Correction” and it has a color picker, mask option and all those isolation tools.
