I might have missed something, but if the exclamation mark is the same font as the rest of the text, you could simply use this expression on the source text property of the name layer:
value + “!”
anything you type in the text layer will now have an ! at the end of it.

you can try making the map comp even larger — you don’t need to make the vector map larger, since you should be able to enable continuously rasterize for that layer, just make the comp 6000×6000 and scale the vector map to fit and see if that helps the pixelating issue with cc sphere.
there will likely be a limit to how large of a layer cc sphere can handle, but you should be able to increase the size of the map comp until you hit that limit.

fiddling with the lightness and saturation values may produce that color needed… so as you change the lightness, if the color gets more gray, try increasing the saturation.

you can load text from a file, and you should be able to parse that as needed to fill in text layers. I would ask in the expressions forum.
harry frank (graymachine) had an old tutorial that covered this, but it seems to be gone…
also, it would help if you knew the kind of file, but you could focus efforts on a CSV file, it would be more straight forward to parse out. once that is figured out, if it’s some other filetype, you could build from that.

the iMac Pro will likely out perform a Mac Pro in most tasks (the *new* Mac Pros are from 2013).
For the price, I would consider an iMac (non ‘pro’, but get the upgraded Core i7 CPU and the SSD option). You get a pretty fast machine and a 5k display for one price… a good 27″ 5k display can run over $1500. The new iMacs (non-pro versions) will outperform the Mac Pros in many tasks for less money and comes with a 5k display, so it’s not a bad option at all.
The negative of all the macs (unless you go wth the really old, pre 2013 Mac Pro Tower), is that you can only get the AMD GPUs, so you don’t get any of the benefits Adobe’s optimizations for Nvidia’s CUDA technology. Another negative of Macs, is as Adobe make further use of GPU acceleration, your’e stuck with the current GPU in your machine, so i a couple years, a $400 video card might be able to significantly enhance performance, but your stuck with the a built in GPU… only the GPUs on the pre 2013 Mac Pro tower can be upgraded — technically the *new* Mac Pros can be upgraded, but there are no new cards available for it.
There are Thunderbolt external GPUs available for Thunderbolt Macs (probably TB2 and up, but you’d want to check on that). I don’t have any experience with those, but that might allow the opportunity to upgrade the GPU in any Mac with a TB port to take advantage of GPU acceleration in Adobe software… but you should look into that more.

very similar to the chromatic aberration effect (if you google that and after effects tutorial, you’ll see how the separations are made)… videocopilot’s twitch can do similar effects…
however rather than distorting the image color separations, it looks like the offset each in time by a frame or two…. and they color’s are cyan, magenta and yellow rather than RGB, but that’s not too hard to do… try this:
- bring in a piece of footage and make it black and white (i use the tint effect, but whatever floats your boat)
- bring the black and white comp into a new comp and add the channel combiner effect, setting ‘from’ to ‘red’ and ‘to’ to ‘red only’ (sounds confusing, but it will make sense in the effect settings).
- then, if you want to make that magenta as the example, add the hue saturation effects and set the master hue to -60.
- now duplicate that layer and set the channel combiner setting to ‘green’ and ‘green only’. the hue saturation effects should be already set to make that yellow instead of green.
- duplicate that layer and set the channel combiner effect to ‘blue’ and ‘blue only’. again the hue saturation effect to then make that look cyan.
- now select the top two layers and set the blending modes to ‘lighten’. note, if you use RGB separation, you’ll want to use ‘add’ blending mode, but for CMY, you’ll need ‘lighten’.
- that will blend them back to the black and white source image. to see the separations, slide the top layer back in time by two frames, and the the second layer back one frame.
the areas that have motion should separate into a similar rainbow trail that is in your example.

you can get close by adding a stroke to your text layer, then adding a text animator for stroke width.
in the text animator’s settings, goto range selector>advanced and set the ‘shape’ to ‘ramp up. then increase the stroke width property for the animator.
you”ll also need to decrease the scale a bit, so add a scale animator to the same animator (with the scale width property selected, add a scale animator property and it will then work with the range selector that you have already set).
