I know you want Lumetri to fully work but what about just making a vignette. Lumetri’s vignette feature is pretty basic and I feel you often want to change the shape of your vignette rather than just scale something.

    Thanks for the reply!

I can’t seem to find magnification levels or zoom levels in the kbsc. I have them set up if the panel is selected but I like to be working in Lumetri and not have to click and enable the window. It’s a small things but the clicks add up over a project and it gets annoying.

  • This is probably what you are talking about. I had to go into Clip Attributes for all the clips and change the Data Levels to ‘Full’. Kind of a gotcha for a newb since you can’t really tell Premiere on export or Davinci on import to map the image data a certain way. Thank you!

As a work around, maybe export the audio from Media Encoder or transcode your entire MP4 into ProRes4444 or ProRes(HQ) for now?

  • You can duplicate your video layer and selectively mask in the finger with some blur on the mask. It’s not uncommon to have to clean up the roto like this, especially when there are blur issues.

In the future, it’s best to shoot at a higher shutter speed and remove the blur as much as possible. You can always add it in back later with the RSMB plug-in or pixel motion blur if needed (kind of sucks).

May 4, 2019 at 1:44 am in reply to: How to scale one word at a time for emphasis

You can do it with expressions so that a scaled word would create a change in the space between the words and maintain their relationship. If this is a one-off, you might just want to manually do it, but if this is a frequent thing you do the expression route would be worthwhile.

I’m not a coder, but if you watch this part one:
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gK1Ejt7qND0

and then search on youtube for part 2 of this series, it’ll give you, I believe, the code and principles necessary to figure out your issue.

    Good luck.

There are watercolor or ink stock footage that could work well as a luma matte.

Yeah, the image/video attachment process here is super old. If anyone is listening, can you make a visual arts forum able to natively handle attachment please?
