Here’s a link to the IO HD page from the AJA website:
https://www.aja.com/html/products_Io_IoHD.html
this should answer all your questions. BTW, the shipping date for the IO HD is 07/31/07-
suggested list price is approx $3500- -
I suspect what Bob was referring to was Avid’s announcement yesterday that their CEO was stepping down – not considered a very positive sign for them.

Go to Ken Stone’s FCP website:
https://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/fcp_homepage_index.html
Use the search engine there, and type in Multiclip. There’s a nice article that spells it all out.

DiscWarrior will give you a detailed list of all the overlapping files (which prevent the directory from being rebuilt). You can then go to the file submenu, and save the list, and then print it. Then, use the list, which will give you the exact location of each file that needs to be deleted from your boot drive.
The DW Tech Support guy mentioned that if some of these overlapping files were part of the OS, they would NOT be able to be deleted, and the step following this would be to “archieve and Install” the OS. Thankfully, I didn’t have to take this step. -
I used Disc Warrior to solve the hard drive problem.
With Alsop’s tech support help, I used my printer to make a hard copy of the files that were overlapping, and preventing me from re-building my directory.
I then one-by-one removed those files from the boot drive.
I was then able to re-build the directory.
Problem solved.
Thanks to all who offered help. -
I can boot up from the main boot drive – but it literally takes 15 minutes.
Disc Warrior installed on one of my FW drives – I tried 3 times to rebuild the boot drive directory – w/o success.
Do you suppose it’s a hardware type of issue….has my boot drive failed?
(It’s always something with computers).
Thanks much for the sagely advice – and – any idea what my next step should be?

DiscWarrior was unable to successfully rebuild the boot drive directory (stopped due to error #2175)- so I’m guess I have a pretty serious problem. I have used CCC in the past when I migrated from Panther and I have a FW drive set up for this.
If I clone my damaged drive – aren’t I cloning whatever problem I have in the first place?
Thanks for all the help.

I’ll take your advise & rebuild the boot drive when I get to my edit station tomorrow.
One other question – when you suggested “restoring” the OS….is that the same as a “clean install?”
Thanks.

I just graphed it…and the results were only 2 % of the files out of order. So I didn’t rebuild.
Do you think that would be a good idea? -
I also like the KRK bi-amplified studio monitors, but I prefer the V series. I have a pair of the V4s, which are smaller, and a little pricier than the Rockit series. The dimensions are 9″ X 8″ X 6″ – super small footprint – which works well for a small edit suite. Big sound, though!!
Test drive before you buy.
